With extensive experience in garment construction, intimate apparel, and bridal alterations, Sam Banks brings a higher level of technical expertise and creative problem- solving ability, along with a slightly unreasonable obsession with the details, to every alteration’s project.

Her background includes establishing Spanx Atlanta’s first on-site R&D sewing room, with experience in pattern-making, technical specification development for sample garments, cut-and-sew room management, and providing services to
Atlanta designers and bridal salons throughout Metro Atlanta. Heading the team
at Bloom Alterations with over 20 years of bridal experience, she is dedicated to helping her brides look and feel their absolute best on their wedding day.

Mary Howard brings her expertise in heirloom alterations, delicate hand sewing,
lace restoration, and traditional tambour work, including intricate applications for sleeves and hems. Deborah Ferrin, our alterations assistant, is an invaluable part of our sew room, lending her helping hands and thoughtful attention at multiple project stages of each tailored gown. Katy Brown keeps us connected with our brides, coordinating appointments, schedule changes, and follow-up communication. Together, they bring the care, craftsmanship, and personal attention that make Bloom such a special place.
